Dear Mt. Spokane Community,
Winter may have been slow to show up this year, but we’re still holding onto hope. The forecast is starting to hint at some snowy weather ahead, and while nothing is guaranteed, we’re optimistic that winter isn’t done with us yet. Fingers crossed that a few storms are still waiting in the wings.
In the meantime, to care for our nonprofit mountain and use resources responsibly, we’re closing midweek and focusing operations on Fridays–Sundays as well as Presidents Day, so the days we’re open stay fun, welcoming, and worth the trip.
Updated Operating Schedule:
• Closed Monday–Thursday (excluding Presidents Day)
• Fridays & Saturdays: 9AM–9PM (Night Skiing 3–9PM)
• Sundays: 9AM–4PM
• Monday, Presidents Day (Feb 16): 9AM–4PM
Because of this change, all passes and tickets with blackout dates—including midweek passes and 5-packs—will be accepted on open operating days for this season. We’ll continue to reevaluate if conditions improve.
Thanks to the hard work of our grooming and mountain ops teams, we’ve maintained solid front-side coverage through careful snow hauling and redistribution.
We’re currently operating:
• Beginner’s Luck (Chair 5)
• Parkway Express (Chair 3)
• Illuminator (Chair 2)
• Terrain Park Handle Tow
• Learning Area Magic Carpet
Mt. Spokane Terrain Park is a bright spot, featuring 20+ elements—the largest park in the PNW—and riding exceptionally well. Groomed beginner and intermediate terrain is smooth and forgiving, and Ski & Ride School continues with group and private lessons available.
Most of all, thank you to our community and season passholders. Your support during a challenging winter keeps lifts spinning, staff working, and Mt. Spokane open. We’re grateful to be riding this out together—and hopeful there’s still some winter magic ahead.
We look forward to seeing you on the mountain.
Warmly,
Jim van Löben Sels
General Manager
