The Mt. Spokane Mountain Host program is a dedicated volunteer team of enthusiastic skiers and riders committed to ensuring that guests have an unforgettable day on the mountain. Whether you’re searching for powder stashes, the finest groomers of the day, or assistance with navigating the mountain, the Mountain Hosts are ready to assist you.
Mt. Spokane Mountain Hosts are a volunteer group of skiers and riders who are passionate about sharing their knowledge of the mountain. Mountain Hosts will share directions, information, recommendations, and, if you're lucky, their favorite spots to ski. Look for the Mountain Host Vest near the base area or out on the hill.
On peak weekends, there are scheduled guided tours starting at 10:30am, weather and ski conditions permitting. Tours usually last about 90 minutes and are designed for intermediate skiers and above. To join a tour, meet at the posted sign just outside Lodge 2 near the ski racks and learning area. Please arrive 15 minutes before the tour so participants can be grouped according to skiing ability and terrain interests.
Each year, we select a few chosen volunteers to be our Mountain Host Team for the entire winter season. The Mountain Host Program is a structured day involving varied duty stations. These duty areas may include, but are not limited to: greeter, rental equipment fitting, ride buddies for ski school student, lift line assistance, base area and on-slope customer assistance. We begin interviews for Mountain Host each fall. If interested, please email us.
Mountain Host Team is full for 24-25 Winter Season.
